In the summer of 2017 I traveled to Israel and facilitated a community mural in the village of Bosmat in Northern Israel. The mural was designed and painted by over 50 Jewish and Arab neighbors of all ages. The collaborative mural, generously funded by American donors, is entitled “Reaching Out” and represents the beauty we all create under the same sky when we reach out and come together.

This mural was completed start to finish, including a community brainstorm session, design development, priming, sketching and painting - in only 3 days (10 hours!). It is a lasting visual representation of the brightness we can add in our communities when we work together. Many thanks to Asaf Zak for helping coordinate the project in Israel, and to the many participants who contributed their stories, their food, and their talents to the project.
