We Belong, 2022
Broadmeadow Elementary School in Needham
I had so much fun as the artist-in-residence at Broadmeadow Elementary School in Needham. Working with over 600 students, faculty, and community members, we created “We Belong,” a collaborative art installation that represents the many ways we can show and feel like we belong. Just as every color belongs in the rainbow, this multi-color hive shares the bright spirit of all who make up the Broadmeadow community, and offers a creative colorful addition to the school to help make people smile and feel welcome.

First they were asked to chose a color to represent themselves. Then they chose a pattern and shape based on their answers to the following questions:
Many thanks to the Broadmeadow PTC for generously funding this meaningful artistic experience for the community.
